GREENCASTLE, Pa. - James R. Carbaugh, 90, of 4855 Buchanan Trail West, died Friday, April 11, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 29, 1912, in Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert and Catharine McFadden Carbaugh.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Goldie R. Crunkleton Carbaugh, in 1948.
He had been a farmer west of Greencastle since 1939.
He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greencastle.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Flowers Carbaugh, whom he married in 1951; a niece; a nephew; great-nieces; great-nephews; great-great-nieces; and great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Claire E. Gelsinger.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle. The Rev. Martin H. Horn will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
