She was born June 5, 1920, in Carmichaels, a daughter of Walter and Mae Phillips Burnette. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Green Valley Presbyterian Church in Carmichaels. surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Sharon) Udovich of Crucible; a son, Greg Phillips of Carmichaels; two grandchildren, John and Michael Udovich; and a brother, Marion Burnette of Carmichaels. Deceased is her husband, Ewing A. Phillips, who died in 1989.
