Born in Scott County, Va., she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eschol H. Darnell in 1972, her parents, Thomas P. Williams and Polly Williams and a brother, the Rev. Kenneth R. Williams.
Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Gate City Funeral Home and anytime at 'the residence.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. G.W. White, the Rev. Claude Taylor and the Rev. J.R. Hulse officiating.
Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Holston View Cemetery.
