Dunn: Annie W., 86, of 65 Central St., Woodsville, NH, died Aug. 19, 2004 at her residence following a short illness.
She was born in Plainfield, VT, Nov. 25, 1917, the daughter of Nelson Wormwood and Bessie Marion (Batchelder) Welch. Mrs. Dunn had lived in Woodsville for the past 2-1/2 years, but was a former longtime resident of East Ryegate, VT. She served the town of Ryegate as tax collector and attended the former East Ryegate Presbyterian Church and attended the Ryegate Corner Presbyterian Church at the time of her death. She had also worked at the Birchwood Motel in Wells River.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carlos Dunn, in 1970; and six brothers, Robert, Gordon, Francis, Harry, Joseph, and Richard. Also a son-in-law, Sheldon Vance.
Survivors include three daughters, Bessie Choate and her husband Carroll of Twin Mtn., NH, Carlene Boomhower and her husband Gordon, and Barbara Vance, both of East Ryegate, VT; nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren; a brother Stanley Welch of Phippsburg, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be on Sunday, Aug 22, from 6-7pm at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH.
Funeral services will be on Monday, Aug. 23, at 1pm, in the Ryegate Corner Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Dwight officiating. Burial will follow in Groton, VT, Village Cemetary.
