THE PARIS NEWS, THURSDAY, APRIL 25, PAGE 3 - Peggy Jean Barry, 71, of Paris, died Monday, April 22, 2013, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at Solid Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Washington officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Garden Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, April 26, at the funeral home.

Peggy was born April 18, 1942, in Lamar County, to the parentage of the late Lonnie and Geneva (White) Wallace. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and was affiliated with Palestine Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marvie Wallace and Laura L. Wallace; grandson, Tavander Barry; and her husband, Joe Phillip Barry.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sheryl Sims, Jacqueline Williams, Chequita Ricks, Zelma Barry, Lisa Martin and Peggy S. Williams; daughters-in law, LaQuetta W. Barry, Tracey Barry and Temekia Barry; sons, Victor Barry, Joseph Barry and Ervin Barry; sons-in-law, Alfred Williams, Patrick Williams and Julius Martin; brothers, Lonnie C. Wallace, Larry "LV" Wallace, James Wallace, Jimmy Wallace, Robert Wallace, T.J. Wallace and Nolan H. Wallace; 23 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
