Rites Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Jane Thomas, 87, of 24 West Devonshire Street, who died at her home yesterday morning, will be held tomorrow at 11 o'clock at the home.

Rev. N. C. Teague, Rev. C. B. Newton and Rev. L. G. Luckenbach will conduct the services and burial will be in Forsyth Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Henry Lindley Sr., G. W. Stonestreet, and Henry H. Russell and George Barnes and J. E. Thomas.

Mrs. Thomas was born in Stokes County Feb. 16, 1857, a daughter of D. and Jane Gibson Bailey. She spent most of her life in Winston-Salem, residing at the present home for 77 years.

She is of Baptist faith. On May 16, 1880, she was married to C. F. Thomas, a farmer.

Survivors include the husband; four daughters, Mrs. L. C. Hobson, Mrs. G. W. Stonestreet, Miss Claude Thomas and Mrs. H. C. Lindley, all of Winston-Salem; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
