Mrs. Maxfield was born the daughter of Hubert and Gladys Rivette White. She married Charles Maxfield on March 29, 1949. He predeceased her in 1961.

Elsie is survived by two sons and daughter0in0law, Charles and Joanne Maxfield of Nicholville and Warren and Susan Maxfield of Brasher; one stepson Roland Maxfield of White Plaines; four daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs Mark (Charlotte) Martin of Dickenson Center, Mrs. Gaylord (Betsy) Collette of Ft Jackson, Mrs. Cecil (Mary) Cornish of St. Regis Falls and Mrs. James (Judy) Snyder of East Hampton, MA; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Stevens of Brasher; three brothers, Claude White of FL, Gilbert White and Jack White of Rensselaer Falls; six sisters, Evelyn Charleston of Louisville, Elizabeth Matthie of South Colton, Irene Jandreau of Knapp Station, Gladys Jandreau of N. Lawrence, Joan Matthie of S. Colton, Shirley Jandreau of Knapp Station and 18 grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one son Calvin Maxfield; two step-sons, Hayden and Harland Maxfield, one sister, Catherine White; three grandchildren.
