Bruce passed away peacefully at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Bruce graduated from high school in Nurnburg, Germany and joined the U. S. Army in 1972. He finished his tour of duty in 1978 and joined the Houston Police Department and retired after 20 years of service. He spent the last 13 years as a motorcycle officer. During that time, he had the opportunity to meet and escort many Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Kings, Queens and other Dignitaries. After his retirement from the Houston Police Department, he joined the Austin County Sheriffs Department as a Deputy. He met many friends, and created a lot of memories for others. He enjoyed making people laugh and had a keen sense of humor. He enjoyed his race cars, eating crawfish, driving his Corvettes and was an avid Elvis fan.
