Gilbert I. Brant
Gilbert I. Brant, 60, of 215 Arch street, died yesterday at Memorial hospital where he had been a patient 34 days.
A native of Buffalo Mills, Pa., he was a son of the late Josiah and Amanda (Detrick) Brant. He had resided in Cumberland for 40 years.
Mr. Brant was affiliated with Bethany Evangelical United Brethren Church and was employed at the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary (Barney) Brant; two sons, Ralph Brant, stationed with the Army in Frankfurt, Germany, and Herman Brant, Charlottesville, Va., a daughter, Mrs. Jeannine Cropp, Pittsburgh, and two sisters, Miss Mary Brant and Mrs. James Kelper, both of Buffalo Mills.
The body will be at the residence. Services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Bethany Church. Rev. C. K. Welch, pastor will officiate, assisted by Rev. Brother Robert Remie and Rev. B. F. Hartman, pastor of Melvin Methodist Church, and interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
