V. Marcella "Wink" Grant (nee Witt), passed away Saturday morning, October 27, 2012 at The Arbors, Marietta, Ohio, following an extended illness.

Born July 28, 1924, and raised in Parkersburg, WV, Marcella, graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1942 and later attended Ohio State University, Columbus, where she majored in art. Before her illness, she was a long-time Belpre, Ohio resident.

Throughout her life she worked as a bookkeeper and was corporate treasurer and part owner of Grant's Inc., Parkersburg. She retired from Vanguard Paints, Marietta in 1993.

Marcella was active in multiple organizations including as Brownie troop leader, vacation bible school art teacher, Belpre Women's Club, Job's Daughters music director and guardian treasurer, and was a former officer in the Order of Eastern Star, Belpre Chapter #541.

She was confirmed in Trinity Episcopal Church, Parkersburg, but also belonged to Pioneer Presbyterian Church, Belpre where she was a member of the Joanna Circle and served as a deacon.

She is preceded in death by her husband Benjamin R. Grant Jr., former Belpre City Auditor, her parents Lela A. and H.E. Witt Sr., several cousins and a beloved dog Libbet.

Surviving are daughter Lexiann Grant (husband James Snider), central WV, and brother H.E. "Bud" Witt (wife Jean) of Columbus, Ohio.

Her memorial service is Saturday, November 10th in Trinity Episcopal Church, 430 Juliana St., Parkersburg at 2:00 PM. Friends and family gathering in Memorial Library at church immediately following service till 4:00 PM. Graveside services will be set for a later date.
