Actress. Best known for her role as 'Katherine Chancellor' on "The Young and the Restless," a role she played from 1974 until her death. Cooper received ten Daytime Emmy nominations, nine for Outstanding Lead Actress and one for Outstanding Supporting Actress, and two Primetime Emmy nominations; she won the 2008 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Daytime Emmys in 2004. Cooper has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd. She is the mother of actor Corbin Bernsen, as well as two other children, Collin and Caren. Rest in peace Mrs. Cooper. You will always be the strong and beautiful Katherine Chancellor to me. I started watching Y&R about the time you came on, I always loved you in that role! Good or bad, Katherine was my favorite. Rest in peace.|
