On 1 Feb 2012 Agnes Mayes died. She was in the Kern Valley Skilled Nursing Facility in Mt. Mesa, CA since early in 2011 and recently had been transferred to the Kern Valley Hospital because of failing health. Her daughter Maude O'Connell of Weldon, CA and her son Herman Hoffman of Ridgecrest, CA survived her as do a nephew, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Agnes was a member of the Eastern Star of South Pasadena, CA and of the Desert Planters of Ridgecrest, CA.
She was born on 9 Apr 1915 in Gardelagen, Germany and immigrated to the USA in 1924 with her mother, father and sister Ida Danesi, who is now living in Illinois.
Her parents, two husbands and one of her twin daughters preceded her in death.
