Mary Laurene Ruth Bevell of Marks, 68, died Sunday, December 5, 2004, at her home in Marks.
Funeral services were Wednesday, December 8, at 10:00 a.m. at Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks with the Rev. Charlie Simmons and Dr. Laurie Jones officiating. Interment was in the Lambert Cemetery.
Mrs. Bevell was born June 20, 1936, to the late Leroy and Willie Mae Ruth in Memphis, TN. She was a member of the Lambert United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Bevell, and a sister, Martha Bryant.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosemary Liles (Sonny) of Marks and Diane Carpenter (Victor) of Cooperas Cove, TX; a sister, Judy Cox (Robert) of Demopolis, AL; and four grandchildren, Sonya Liles Walker (Ben) of West Helena, AR, Alan, Katie and Maelena Carpenter of Copperas Cove, TX.
The family has requested that memorials be sent to the Lambert United Methodist Church or Charity Hospice of Marks.
