To this union fourteen children were born, and of them, ten children and twenty-two grandchildren survive her. Two sons and one daughter live in Virginia; two sons in Oklahoma; one daughter in Colorado; and two sons and two daughters here. Age: 68*

*NOTE The obituary appears to have the correct year of birth as opposed to the headstone. Census records and marriage year, as compared to age at time of marriage and the birth of Mary's oldest known child, appear to support the birth year of 1836.

However, the present evidence I have by way of the stone and cemetery record carries the greater weight per Find A Grave guidance, so the birth year of 1841 was entered on the memorial.

I would most certainly welcome any further evidence, such as a birth certificate, which can support a year of birth of 1836.
