Founder of Hincks Brothers & Co. Succumbs to Heart Disease at 61 in Bridgeport

Bridgeport, June 10. - (AP) - William T. Hincks, a member of the Connecticut bar, and one of the founders of Hincks Bros. & Company, investment bankers, died at his home, 152 Park Place, early today following three months illness of heart disease.

Mr. Hincks was born in this city January 22, 1870, the son of Major W. B. and Mrs. Mary Hart Hincks. He was graduated from Yale in 1891 and from Yale Law School in 1893. He began the practice of law with John W. Banks, a classmate, now a justice of the supreme court. In 1907 Mr. Hincks joined his brother, Robert S., and formed the firm of Hincks Bros. & Company.

Mr. Hincks always has been active in civic affairs and held many local offices. At the time of his death he was a member of the mayor's financial advisory committee. He was elected a director of the United States Chamber of Commerce and attended the international chamber of commerce conventions at Brussells in 1925 and at Stockholm in 1927, and at Amsterdam in 1929. he was one of the founders and the first president of the Connecticut Security Dealers association.

He leaves his wife, two children, John Morris Hincks, and Mary Duke Hincks, and five grandchildren.
