Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at
Duncan-May Funeral Home to
whom services have been
entrusted. Burial will be at
Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Mrs. Williams was born on
October 13, 1937, in Marshall,
Texas, and passed away on
May 22, 2005, at her home in
Hobbs. She married Aaron L.
Williams on August 22, 1956, in
Hobbs. He survives her of the
home. Also surviving are two
brothers, Raymond Johnson
and wife Clemmie, and Reese
Johnson, all of Hobbs; sisterin-
law Annie L. Holmes and
brother-in-law Lenwood
Holmes, both of San Antonio,
Texas; her mother, Mattie Lee
Johnson of Hobbs; daughters
Sherrill Williams of Valley
Village, California, and
Norma Curry of Dallas, Texas;
sons Roderick Williams and
wife Barbara of Sherman
Oaks, California, and Aaron L.
Williams II of Dallas, Texas.
Also surviving are grandchildren
Eric Williams and wife
Yolanda and their son, Eric II
of Grand Prairie, Texas, N'Yet
Shaw of Springfield, Illinois,
Aaron Williams III of Ottawa,
Canada, Christine Templeton
of Hobbs and Kambal
Williams of Sherman Oaks,
California; and a host of
nieces and nephews, family
and friends. She was preceded
in death by her father, Johnny
Johnson, and her grandmother,
Ada King.
Mrs. Williams was of the
Methodist faith and a member
of Lane Chapel CME. She was
also a member of Eastern Star
and Agape Outreach HIV
Awareness. She was a faithful
church member and was the
church secretary, senior choir
director, finance committee
member, stewardess and local
and district lay leader.
