Ruth Tomlinson Meador, age 91 of Hendersonville passed peacefully on May 5, 2013.
Mrs. Meador was a member of Jackson Park Church of Christ. Ruth never met a stranger. She was known for her amazing sense of humor and especially her funny stories. She lit up a room wherever she went. She will be forever in the hearts of her family and friends. Our Saturday outings will never be the same without her. Ruth was born on March 17, 1922 to the late George and Mary Alma Tomlinson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Henry L. Meador, Sr. Survivors include her children, Henry L. "Buddy" (Laurie) Meador, Jr., Patricia A. "Patti" (Mark) Hoover, Linda C. (Bobby) Kee and Mary Sue "Vonnie" (Bill) Stalker; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews , George H. Tomlinson, Stephanie Eichner, Kim Sanchez and Demetri Martinez. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 9th at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Olive and Bro. John Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Henry Meador, Austin Meador, George Tomlinson, John Stalker, Todd Fielder and Ron Witherington. Honorary pallbearers will be son-in-laws, Bobby, Bill and Mark; and the Tomlinson Family. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, May 7th from 4-8 P.M. and Wednesday, May 8th from 2-8 P.M.
