born on Sept. 22, 1951, in
Sebastian, Texas, to Tiburcio
and Josephina Telles. He died
Monday, April 25, 2005, at
Covenant Medical Center in
Lubbock, Texas.

Rolando moved to the Lea
County area in 1979 from
Carrizo Springs, Texas. He
then married Juana Martinez
on Feb. 19, 1983, in Hobbs, New
Mexico. He was also a member
of the Apostolic Assembly
Gates to Heaven.
Rolando is survived by his
wife, Juana Telles of Hobbs
N.M.; four children: Isaida
Telles and Isreal Telles both of
Hobbs, N.M., and Rolando
Telles Jr. and Francisco Telles,
both of Las Cruces, N.M.; two
sisters: Adelfina Hernandez of
Raymondville, Texas, and
Clara Gaytan of Crystal City,
Texas; two brothers: Adelfo
Telles of Crystal City, Texas,
and Tiburcio Telles Jr. of
Carrizo Springs, Texas.
Rolando is also survived by
three half-brothers: Rudy
Telles, Roy TelIes and Danny
Telles; and two half-sisters:
Julia King and Abelina Telles,
all of Pearsal, Texas; six
grandchildren; and many
other nieces, nephews and
cousins.
He was preceded in death by
his mother and father and two
sisters, Tomasa Garcia and
Louisa Vela.
