Major League Baseball Player. Daniel Ralph Glaze was a multi-sport athlete while attending Dartmouth College. There he played baseball and football and was named as an All-American in 1905. After graduating in 1906, Glaze signed with the Boston Americans/Red Sox as a pitcher where he played for three years. In 1910, Glaze became the football coach at Baylor University. While there he also coached the baseball and basketball teams. Glaze went on to coach football at the University of Southern California, Drake University, Colorado State Teachers University, Colorado School of Mines and Lake Forrest College.
