Raised in Morganville on the Glen Geran Farm; lived in Matawan before moving to Howell in 1984; U.S. Army Air Force veteran during World War II serving as a meteorologist; graduate of Rutgers College. He was the owner and a broker of the Ralston Insurance Agency, Neptune. Predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Lysbeth Geran; brother Thomas Geran. Survived by his companion, Olive M. Fiore; daughter Lysbeth G. (James) Brogan; sons Charles A. (Linda) Geran Jr., Thomas W. (Doreen) Geran, Robert J. (Lucia) Geran, and John J.
