She was born January 31, 1936 in Council Bluffs to the late Irving & Martha (Petersen) Nixon.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Nixon.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Louis Pomerleau to whom she married November 5, 1955; children, Nancy Brightwell (Roger), Vincent Pomerleau (Marcia), Vern Pomerleau, Sharon Stewart; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
