d/o Herbert and Jessie (Kingsbury) Gibson; w/o Roger William Berry whom she married on June 30, 1934, at the Gibson homestead in Ryegate, VT.

She graduated Woodsville High School with the class of 1927, then from the Plymouth Normal School, class of 1931.

After raising her children, she continued her career as a remedial reading teacher at the Peacham Academy and the Newbury schools in Vermont. Doris was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church (Coventors) attending the Walter Harvey Meeting House in Mosquitoville. She also belonged to Gideon's International and the Ryegate Corner Presbyterian Church Women's Fellowship and Ryegate Home Dem. She was the oldest living Ryegate resident and therefore, holder of the Boston Post Cane.

She is survived by her children, Priscilla J. Berry Blanchard and husband David of Glastonbury, CT and Wayne S. Berry of Essex Jct., VT; three grandchildren, Yvonne Schraml and husband Joseph, Timothy Berry; and Scott Berry and wife Valarie; four great grandchildren, Joseph Schraml II and wife Monique, Katelyn Schraml, Alyssa Berry and Amanda Berry; two great great grandchildren, Kaeden and Bently Schraml.

Doris was predeceased by her husband Roger Berry on June 24, 1996; her daughter-in-law Patricia Gould Berry; and by her siblings May, Maurice and Ruth.
