Parents: Joseph and Agnes (Skridulis) Baskevich. Pauline came to the United States in July, 1911 (Port of New York) with her family (her father had already come in 1908) from Zagare, Lithuania. They first settled in Cicero, Illinois, and then moved to Albion, Michigan in 1918 where they lived until the early 1940s. Pauline Baskevich was one of the first Lithuanians to graduate from Albion (MI) High School (Class of 1923). She later attended college and became a secretary at Albion High School in the late 1920s.
