Rev. Lawrence S. Benner, 51, of 478 First Street, Greenfield, died Sunday, March 28, 1965, at 4:10 P.M. at his residence.
He was born in Ross County on Nov. 1, 1913, the son of Samuel Robert Benner and Rozella Raines Benner.
He was minister of the Sulphur Springs United Baptist Church in Greenfield at the time of his death.
His first wife, the former Pauline Jones, died on June 24, 1940.
He was married to Ethel Birkhimer on April 17, 1943. She survives. Also surviving are one son, L. Robert Benner, Greenfield; two grandchildren, Michael and Susan Benner, both of Greenfield; one brother, James J. Benner, Hillsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Waddell, Sabina, and Mrs. Donald Howland, Washington C.H. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a grandson.
Services will be held at the Sulphur Springs Church in Greenfield Wednesday at 2 P.M., with Rev. Noble Miller officiating and burial following in Greenfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Murray Funeral Home after 2 P.M. Tuesday.
