Mrs. Mary Halloran Bevington of Sycamore Terrace, 1427 Lebanon Road, died yesterday in St. Thomas Hospital after a short illness. A Mass will be said at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Donelson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A son, the Rev. William S. Bevington, pastor of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, will officiate. Mrs. Bevington was a native of Davidson County and a daughter of the late John J. and Ann Leyden Halloran. She attended St. Cecilia Academy, Ward-Belmont College and Peabody College. In 1921, Mrs. Bevington was married to the late John L. Bevington, who was a retired vice president of Cain-Sloan Co. when he died in 1968. Mrs. Bevington, a communicant of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, formerly was active in cultural, civic and church work. Survivors, in addition to her son, include two other sons, Richard L. Bevington, Nashville, and E. Milton Bevington, Atlanta, 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers: Dr. Roy O. Elan, Beverly W. Landstreet, John L. Seigenthaler, Amon C. Evans, Sidney F. Keeble, John D. McAllister, John Coode II, D. Cliffe Stone, Joseph M. McHenry, Paul Sullivan.
