Thomas Gahan, 70, a resident of Gilbert for the past 22yrs, died at a local hospital Tuesday night after a short illness.
In 1881 he was married to Miss Kate Connell. They made their home in Lyndon, Wis., later moving to Tomahawk, WI and in 1909 the family came to Gilbert to live.
Survivors include his wife, 4 dtrs, Mrs W A Moyer of West Lake, LA., Mrs Peter Lawton, of Flint, MI., Mrs Ole Saline, Gilbert, and Mrs H A Schuler, of Superior, WI.,; 2 sons, Thomas E and Raymond A of Port Washington, WI., 1 sister, Mrs Frank Erickson of Grand Rapids, MI.; 3 bros., George of Kalamazoo, MI., L L of Kenosha, WI.; and John of Tomahawk, WI; 26 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Mr Gahan was a member of the Virginia council of the Knights of Columbus. He was district organizer for the Catholic Order of Foresters in Tomahawk, WI, Greenland, MI., Eveleth and Gilbert, MN. For the past six yrs he has been employed by the Gilbert Water and Light department. Mr Gahan is a retired building contractor.
