Johnson Services Here on Friday

Mrs. C.J. Lehr has received word that her brother, Ed Johnson, 72, died in Santa Rosa, Calif. The body is being shipped to Augusta.

Short funeral services will be held at the Dunsford Funeral home Friday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Vernon V. White officiating. Burial will be in Dunlap cemetery.

Mr. Johnson was born near Rose Hill. He was married to Ethel Young of Mt. Hope in 1909. Surviving children are--two sons, Elvin Johnson of Hardesty, Okla. and Virgil Johnson of Santa Rosa with whom he made his home; and one daughter, Velma Armiston [sic] of Texas. Other survivors are two brothers, Kent Johnson of Rose Hill and Gilbert Johnson of Wichita; five sisters, Mrs. Pearl Goldsberg [sic], Mrs. Myrtle Warrender and Mrs. Grace Brower, all of Wichita, Mrs. Gertrude Jones of Rose Hill and Mrs. C.J. Lehr of Augusta; also five grandchildren.
