Don enlisted in 1941 as an apprentice seaman in the US Navy. Don served his country thru 3 wars, retiring on September 1, 1968 as a Lieutenant Commander. After retirement, Don started his 2nd career as a Hospital Administrator retiring in the mid 1980's.
Don married the Love of his life, Gean Louise Quinn on August 23, 1950 in the LDS Mesa AZ Temple. Together they raised 5 children. Don and Gean would celebrate their 63rd anniversary this August. Don has been active in the LDS church, serving in various callings.
Don is survived by his wife, Gean; Daughter, Kathleen (Kent); Sons: Michael (Lora Lee) of Salem; Craig of Boise; and Shawn (Kathy) of Hillsboro. They have 18 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his son, Timothy and 3 grandsons.
