Betty Hobson Burgess, 81, of NC Hwy 49 North, Ramseur, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 11 AM, Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Charles Lindquist.

Burial, Parks Crossroads Christian Church, Ramseur.

She was a native of Randolph County, retired from Burlington Industries after 36 of service, and was a member of Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church, since 1946, where she was active in the United Methodist Women, having been awarded lifetime membership. She was preceed in death by her parents, Thomas Clyde and Mabel Moffitt Hobson.

Survivors: husband, William Harvey Burgess, of the home, daughters, Karen Burgess McPherson, and husband, Wayne, of Snow Camp, Kathy Burgess McPherson, and husband, Jimmy, of Liberty, grandchild, Brad McPherson, and wife, Brittany, of Goldsboro.

Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Monday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur, other times at the residence.
