Anna Alexander Thurston Wooldridge was one of the children born to Thomas Gates Thurston, Sr. and his wife Diana (Dinah) Moore Gwathmey.

Anna was united in marriage to John Robeson Wooldridge on October 5, 1854 in Franklin Parish, Louisiana. Anna and John were blessed with the birth of at least six children during their marriage:

Sarah Ann (Sallie) Wooldridge Hammons
Mary Grace Wooldridge

Anna was left a widow with three young children on May 19, 1873 when John passed away unexpectedly. She was united in marriage a second time to Henry Augustus Jolls on July 11, 1874 in New Orleans, Louisiana. There were no children born to this marriage.

Anna passed away at her daughter, Ida Kate's Washington, DC home located at 1372 Kenyon Street NW. She had been a resident of Washington, DC for 30 years. Anna is interred with her grandson Lawrence "Alonzo" Wooldridge, her granddaughter in-law Catherine E. Gallaher Wooldridge, her great grandson and her granddaughter-in-laws parents according to cemetery records.
