Shirl H. Clark, 68, of the Bonar Apartments, Waynesburg, died Monday, Oct. 31, 1966, at 5:25 a.m. in Greene County Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was born Oct. 26, 1896, in Franklin Township, a son of Jesse L. and Alice Gooden Clark. He attended Waynesburg College in the early 1900's and taught two terms in the Cumberland Township School and one in the Jefferson Township School in 1920-21.
Mr. Clark was a member of the Pursley Baptist Church Oak Forest, and a veteran of World War I. The past two years he was custodian for the Bonar Apartments.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Longstreth Clark; two sons, Ralph Lee and Donovan Clark, both of Waynesburg; one brother, Ralph W. Clark, of Waynesburg, and one sister, Mrs. Norma Calloway, of South Boston, Va.
