Making his novitiate at Assisi, he took his simple vows on November 1, 1921, his solemn profession on December 8, 1924, and upon finishing his studies in Rome, was ordained to the priesthood on February 13, 1927.
Vice-rector of the College of Susa, assistant to the youth club of San Francesco d'Albaro in Genoa from 1929 until 1931, Rector of the named College of Susa between 1932 and 1937, Guardian of the Convent Madonna della Guardia of Turin from 1940 and 1946, of which he twice rebuilt its walls which fell during the bombings of the Second World War, Guardian of San Francesco di Genova Bolzaneto between 1946 and 1949, he moved to Honduras, where the Province at the time had the intention of founding a convent and a mission. When this idea did not materialize, he returned back to Italy, to the Convent of San Francesco d'Albaro, Genoa.
He held here for more than ten years, the direction of the OFS. A valiant preacher, many sought his spiritual direction.
Ultimately, disease claimed his health, at first imperceptibly, then gradually, depriving him of the use of his legs, yet he always retained a calm and patient spirit.
He died at dawn on September 8, 1968, with a prayer on his lips, at the Villa Serena Clinic, where he had been hospitalized for a few days as no adequate care for his condition could be given to him at the Convent.
His funeral Mass was held at S. Francesco d'Albaro, in the presence among others of Bishop Francesco Mazzieri OFM. Conv., followed by interment at Staglieno Cemetery in Genoa.
