COLUMBIA - Norma Mae Wright Smith Worley, 83, of Columbia, died Monday, June 17, 2013. Born January 24, 1930, in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Charles Conrad Wright and Willie Murvell Busbee Wright. Norma was a member of Shandon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra (Larry) McNeely of Vale, NC, Elizabeth Ann Bass of Myrtle Beach, and Lynn (Ronald) Bridges of Sumter; son, James Richard Smith, Jr. of Columbia; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Doris (Carey) Allen of Irmo; brothers, Joe (Joyce) Wright, Paul (Patricia) Wright, Carl (Debby) Wright, and John (Polly) Wright, all of Irmo. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husbands, James Richard Smith and James William Worley; a brother, Charles Wright; and sisters, Frances Wright and Jackie Lucas.

The funeral service for Mrs. Worley will be held at 2 o'clock, Friday, June 21st, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, with the Rev. L. Barry Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Thursday evening at the funeral home.
