William Brave Dies Today

   William H. Brave, 84, a retired Edwardsville farmer, died Wednesday morning in St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland. He had been living at the Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra.
   Born Dec. 6, 1885, in Edwardsville Township, he was a son of Louis and Mary Scherf Brave. He was married to Amelia Gieseman, Feb. 14, 1912, in Edwardsville. Mrs. Brave died July 31 of this year.
   Survivors are one son, Robert Brave of Granite City; one daughter, Miss LaVine Brave of St. Louis; two grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Schoenbaum of Wood River and Mrs. Tillie Bardelmeier of Edwardsville.
   Besides his parents and wife, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
   He was a member of Eden United Church of Christ.
   Friends may call at the Pletcher Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Donald Crismon of Eden Church will officiate at services at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
   Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
