GATE CITY , Va. - Carl Earl Franklin, 85, Spring Valley Circle, Gate City, Va., died Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 3, 1993) Indian Path Medical Center .
He was a native of Scott County , Va. , and was a retired farmer and cab driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James T. and Pearl V. Blair Franklin; two sisters, Virginia Williams and Zelia Fleenor; three brothers, Walker Franklin, Eugene Franklin and Elmer Franklin.
Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Scott County Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gary Eads and the Rev. Joe Byrd officiating.
Friends will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Holston View Cemetery .
