Fort Worth, Texas - LOUISE CLARK HUCHINGSON SEAMSTER, passed from this life on June 13, 2013 in Fort Worth, Texas with her family by her side, during her 96th year. SERVICE: 12 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Low Gap Cemetery, Low Gap, Arkansas.

Louise Clark, daughter of Earl W. & Florida Clark was born on Jan. 9, 1917 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. In 1920 thefamily moved to Weslaco, Texas where Louise later learned to sew. It was obvious at an early age that Louise processed a gift for creativity. A quality that was first publicly displayed through her sewing work. Putting hand to needle and thread, Louise fabricated her own vision for a garment, a ladies hat, a gown. She made dresses that expressed her sense of style. Louise also made costumes which became another area that allowed her creative skills to express her style and her sense of humor. During these younger days in Weslaco Louise became well known for her dresses and costumes winning every contest she entered, once sewing a dress made completely of beans and winning first place in the Valley wide contest.

Louise married George Leslie Huchingson on May 3, 1938 in Weslaco. Together they moved to Fort Worth and raised three sons. Louise continued to sew and won many events in Fort Worth often appearing in the newspaper with pictures of the gowns and hats she created from her own handmade patterns. Her talent, her wonderful sense of humor and the most contagious laugh and smile anyone could experience made Louise someone that everyone wanted to know. In later years Louise and Leslie moved to Arkansas where she continued sewing which opened doors for her by accepting a position at Dogpatch USA as their head costumer. She made every costume worn at Dogpatch and was heralded for her creativity and ability. Louise even fitted a young female singer from Tulsa named Reba McEntire. She remained at Dogpatch until the park closed, but was always on hand for a repair or fitting or just a confidant for the young performers.

After the passing of her beloved Leslie, Louise met Glen Seamster in 1985 and they were married in 1986. In their later years Louise and Glen returned to Weslaco where they both retired.

Louise will be missed and loved always by her family and friends who enjoyed the laughter and loving spirit that she displayed right up until her death. She never met a stranger and welcomed every person into her life with no expectations and no boundaries. Louise was truly one of a kind. Heaven is a happier place now that she has arrived with her humor and spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; son, Richard A. Huchingson; grandson, Richard A. Huchingson Jr.; stepson, Edward Seamster; and grandchildren, Phillip Seamster Jr., Bonnie Scudder and Dean Scudder.

SURVIVORS: In addition to her sons, George Leslie "Jody" Huchingson Jr. and his wife Margie of Arlington, and Larry Lee Huchingson of Los Angeles, Calif., Louise is survived by her grandchildren, Angela Huchingson Sawyer of Kansas City, Mo., Amy Huchingson Taylor of Fort Worth and Lisa Huchingson Schuder of Ozark, Mo.; six great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Clark of Alaska; and extended family, B. Jean Scudder of Clearwater, Fla; Phillip Seamster of Foley, Ala.; grandchildren, Ginger Cantrell of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Phyllis Seamster of Foley, Ala.; Ryan Seamster of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Aaron Seamster of Harrison, Ark.; four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
