Funeral service for Charles
J. Trotter of Hobbs, N.M., will
be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14,
2005, at Chapel of Hope. Larry
Key, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow at Prairie
Haven Cemetery.
Services are under the direction
of Chapel of Hope
Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-6
p.m. Monday, June 13, and 8
a.m. until service time
Tuesday.
Mr. Trotter, 61, died June 10,
2005, at his home in Hobbs,
N.M. He was born Oct. 17, 1943,
in Amhurst, Texas.
He married Kay Billington
July 18, 1977, in Lovington,
N.M.
Mr. Trotter was employed by
Taylor Ranch and Turkey
Track Ranch for many years.
He enjoyed the ranching life,
cattle and horses. His hobbies
were fishing and hunting. He
loved his family, especially his
grandchildren.
Charles was of Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife,
Kay Trotter of Hobbs, N.M.;
stepdaughter, Betty Billington
of Hobbs, N.M.; brother, Carroll
Trotter of Colorado City, Texas;
sisters, Starlie Shaw and husband
Frank of Seminole, Texas,
and Karren Teague and husband
Eddie of Hobbs, N.M.;
three stepgrandchildren, Casey
Marie Stark, C.J. Stark and
Charlie Stark, all of Hobbs,
N.M.; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Charles was preceded in death
by his parents, Odie and
Lahoma Trotter; a brother,
Kenneth Trotter; and a stepson,
Cary Starks. Memorial contributions
may be made to the
American Heart Association.
