Tommy Allphin, 61, of
Hobbs, passed away Tuesday,
June 21, 2005, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m.
Friday, June 24, 2005, at Castle
Avenue Baptist Church with
Dr. Leon Green officiating.
Interment will follow at
Prairie Haven Cemetery. The
family will receive friends 6-7
p.m. Thursday, June 23, at
Griffin Funeral Home.
Mr. Allphin was born May 18,
1944, in Kermit, Texas, to
Conrad Curtis and Bernice
Woodard Allphin. He married
Sue Coppedge on Aug. 12, 1963,
in Hobbs and they celebrated
41 wonderful years together.
Mr. Allphin was an avid fisherman
and loved to go to the
casino. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Allphin was preceded in
death by his parents; two
brothers, Curtis Allphin and
Johnny Crossland; and a
granddaughter, Michelle
Macom.
Survivors include his wife,
Sue Allphin of the home;
three daughters Shelley Jones
of Hobbs, Sandra Macom of
Poteau, Okla., and Marsha
Derrick of Poteau, Okla.; a
brother, Bobby Crossland of
Hobbs; a sister, Caroline
Carter of Brownfield; two
grandchildren, Keelie and
Kolby Allphin, both of Poteau,
Okla.; and several nieces and
nephews.
