PLEASANT PLAINS, IL - Thomas R. Boesdorfer, 45, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family after a three-year battle with colon cancer.

Thomas was born March 14, 1968, in Springfield, the son of Roy and Georgianna "Jo" Reburn Boesdorfer.

Thomas worked for the State of Illinois Department of Corrections for over 16 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pleasant Plains.

He is survived by his parents, Roy and Jo Boesdorfer of Pleasant Plains; three sisters: Sue E. (Kenneth) Matzat and Sally J. (James) Manker both of Pleasant Plains and Janie Heard of Jacksonville, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, June 24, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pleasant Plains.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church, Pastor Don Pritchard officiating.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Plains Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Pleasant Plains or Memorial Home Hospice Program.
