ADVANCE - Mrs. Ethel Sharpe Culler, 91, of Baltimore Road, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born on Nov. 6, 1921, in Iredell County to the late Willis Hardin and Della Pharr Sharpe. She was a member of Hope Baptist Tabernacle in Mocksville where she attended as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Culler retired from P.H. Hanes Knitting Company and had also been employed with Meadowbrook Terrace in Clemmons. She was a great inspiration to so many people. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who was loved by her family, but most of all she was a servant to her Lord. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Culler; two sisters, Edna Summers and Willie Mae Gibbons; and a brother, Worth Sharpe.
Survivors include three children, Bob Culler (Judy) of the home, Faye Thomas, also of the home and Marilyn Peacock (Carlos) of Waco; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 6, at Hope Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. Chris Cantrell officiating. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, at Eaton Funeral Home. They request that memorials be considered for Hope Baptist Tabernacle, 2408 US Hwy 158, Mocksville, NC 27028.
