Burial Held Tuesday For Russell O. Bean
Funeral services for Russell O. Bean, 61, who was killed by a rifle bullet Friday night at his ranch at Finch, were conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Beals chapel in Forsyth.
The Rev. O. W. Arrington officiated and Mrs. Jack Mees was soloist. Pallbearers were members of Hiram Lodge No. 52, A.F.&A.M. and Muri-Chatham post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Burial will be in soldier's plot in the Forsyth cemetery.
Mr. Bean was born at Lee on Sept. 11, 1887, a son of Mr. And Mrs. Maynard Bean. He attended school at Lee and Bridger and was graduated from the Billings Polytechnic Institute in 1914.
He married Lydia Sandford at Warren in 1919 and they later were divorced. In 1940 he married Hazel Koch in Miles City.
For some years Mr. Bean worked as an electrician at Colstrip and purchased the Forsyth laundry in 1948. He continued to operate that business in addition to his ranch at Finch.
A thirty-second degree Mason, Mr. Bean was a member of Yellowstone lodge No. 26, A.F.&A.M. at Miles City, of Al Beaoo shrine at Billings and of Muri-Chatham post, V.F.W., Forsyth.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Hazel Bean; four daughters, Mrs. Florence Cellender of Webster, Mrs. Betty Barnes of Burke, S.D., Mrs. Donna Wimer of Colstrip and Miss Bonnie Lou Bean of Forsyth, and five sons, Corporal R.O. Bean Jr., of Great Falls, and Charles, Maynard, William and Raymond Bean, all of Forsyth.
