Katherine "Kate" Beavers Smith
Katherine "Kate" Beavers Smith age 76 of the Gratton section of Tazewell, VA passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at a Princeton, WV hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born at Bradshaw, WV and was a daughter of the late Arthur Claude "Bus" and Mary Ester Hagerman Beavers, McDowell County, WV natives.
She had made her home at Tazewell for the past 43 years. She was a homemaker and attended the Church of Christ.
She was the widow of the late William Thomas Smith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hobert Harvey Beavers.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 11, 2005 at 2:00 p. m. at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel of Tazewell, VA with Rev. Clarence Herron officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers along with Cleve Wolford and Mike Mitchell. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Brian Hancock, Timmy Hancock and Hassel Rife.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 9 p. m.
