Jennifer L. Drury, 28, of Springfield, passed away at 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Jennifer was born August 6, 1984, in Springfield, the daughter of David R. Drury, Jr., and Mary Pellman.
Jennifer was a 2005 graduate of Southeast High School and was employed by the Statewide Independent Living Council. Jennifer was a happy, loving, and strong person. She was a great blessing to her family and friends and enjoyed being surrounded by them. She also enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, cooking, vegetable gardening, fishing and hunting with her dad, and loved to travel, especially to the beach.
She was preceded in death by her father, David R. Drury, Jr., grandfather, Robert Pellman, and step-brother, Adam.
She is survived by her mother, Mary, one sister, Angela, one step-sister, Lacy, one step-brother, Billy, grandparents, Cloretta and David Drury of Girard and Dolores Pellman of Springfield, special aunt, Sherri Pellman of Springfield, special nurses, Dee Dee, Annette, and Sherry, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2013, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
