OLIVER ENOS, RAILROAD EMPLOYE FOR 51 YEARS, DIES AT AGE 70

Oliver L Enos, 70, of 20 Summit Ave, an employee of the Erie railroad, died at his home today following an illness of three weeks.
Mr. Enos had been passenger agent at Meadeville, Pa. since 1934, but had retained his residence in this city.
He entered the employ of the railroad as a ticket clerk March 10, 1886, and continued in that capacity until 1893 when he was appointed ticket clerk.
In 1903, Mr. Enos was appointed traveling passenger agent in the territory from Marion to Chicago and Dayton, with headquarters at Marion. Later his territory was extended to Greenville Pa.
He returned to Mansfield as head of the Erie passenger office eight years ago and was transferred to Meadville in 1934 when the positions of freight and passenger agent were combined.
Mr. Enos was born near Perrysville March 18, 1869, the son of Wilson and Elizabeth Enos, pioneer residents, and came to this city at the age of 12. He celebrated his 70th birthday anniversary last Saturday.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Elks Lodge at Meadville, Pa.
His wife; three daughters, Mrs. Edward DeBorbieries of Galveston, Tex., Mrs. Benjamin Boals of Mansfield and Mrs. Charles H Stabler of Louisville, Ky; a son Robert O Enos of Mansfield; a sister, Mrs. William Kelley of Galion and six grandchildren survive.
