Sluder , James Ernest (Ernie), age 77 of Lenoir City, formerly of Knoxville, passed away Saturday February 12, 2000 at the Loudon Hospital. Ernie was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Lenoir City. A former employee of TVA. A veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.

Preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Kate Sluder ; brother, Buddy Sluder ; sister, Jewell Harper. He is survived by his brothers, Bobby Sluder of Knoxville and Benny Sluder of Nashville ; sister, Ruth Brackett and husband Tom of Lenoir City; Nephews, Eddie Brackett and wife Terry of Lenoir City and Tommy Brackett of Lenoir City ; nieces, Sue Moore of Lenoir City and Jeanette Bowen of Oak Ridge.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm Sunday followed by funeral services at 8 pm in the Click Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Ray Kelley and Rev Danny Kelley will officiate. Family and friends will gather at 10 am Monday at Click Funeral Home and proceed to the Bookwalter Cemetery for graveside services at 11am. Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City in charge.
