Hoyt was the husband of Hazel Almeda (McDonald) Berringer

He was the son of Bernie Rex Beringer and Bessie Lela (Stiffler) Berringer

They were married April 6, 1937 in Garman Mills, cambria co., PA


Hoyt Berringer Hoyt C. Berringer, 85, of Cherry Tree RD 2, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana. The son of Bernie Rex and Bessie Suffler Berringer, he was born Sept. 17, 1918, in Uniontown, Indiana County. Mr. Berringer attended the Pine Grove Church of God. He was a 1937 graduate of Green Township High School. He was a dairy farmer for 51 years at his family's farm in Green Township, and had also worked as a mine Mechanic in the coal mines for 20 years. He had been the owner and operator of the Berringer Furniture Store in cherry tree. Mr Berringer was former member of the Hope Grange 574. He married his wife, the former Hazel A McDonald, on April 6, 1937. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, three children Arlene Golden, Avon Park, Fla., Claudia Brock and her husband Charles Robert, Avon Park, Fla., and Roger H Berringer and his wif Pease, cherry Tree RD, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: Mahlon, Walter, bernie jr, William L and Maurice Berringer, and a sister, Octa Lemmon
Friends will be receivedon friday from 2 to 4 and 7to 9 p.m. at the Rairgh Funeral Home Ltd, Hillsdale where an 11 a.m. funeral service will be held on Saturday with Pastor, Daniel R. Schultheis officiating. Interment will followat the Uniontown cemetery, Uniontown, Indiana county. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Laurel Mountain chapter, 1011 Old Salem Road, greensburg, PA 15601
