Christopher (or Stoffel) was a grist miller and merchant in Woolwich Twp./Mullica Hill, Gloucester Co., NJ. He married Elizabeth Horner on 22 Jan. 1794 in Swedesboro, Gloucester Co., NJ.

Note: Her gravestone inscription gives her birth year incorrectly as 1776. Her birth on 25 June 1775 is recorded at the time of her baptism at the Swedish Lutheran Church of Raccoon (now Trinity Episcopal Church, Swedesboro) on 27 Jan. 1775.
