Lessie was the daughter of W. Preston and Mary (Campbell) McMasters. She married Eli Larkin Kivett and they were the parents of six children: William Otis, Lena, Margaret Lucille, Roy Calvin, Beatrice and Lessie Louise.

Held At Liberty On Monday
Liberty, May 9 - An unusually large crowd assembled at Mount Pleasant Baptist church May 8, to pay the last sad rites to their neighbor and friend, Mrs. Larkin Kivett, who died at the hospital in Greensboro Sunday evening, age 34 years.
Mrs. Kivett's death was a shock, Mr. Kivett was to see her Sunday morning and she was feeling fine and told him she would be home in a few days. He came back feeling gratified she was getting along well and would soon be home and on arriving the sad news was waiting that she was gone. She leaves of her immediate family, a husband, three sons and three daughters, father, mother, and three sister. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Tommie Andrews. Interment in Mount Pleasant cemetery.
