Barbara Lucille Hurst, age 78, passed away on July 4, 2013. She was born on December 19, 1934 to Jim Chambliss and Lela Kelly. She was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Vernest Virgil Hurst Jr, a brother, Douglass Ray Chambliss and her parents.

She is survived by her three sons, Virgil Ray Hurst and wife Tracy of Denison, Texas, Robert Hurst and wife Cindy of Bulverde, Texas and Ronnie Joe Hurst and fiancé Marie from Bulverde, Texas; one daughter, Rhonda Hurst Snow and husband Ken of Houston, Texas; sister Gerry Sebring of Tucson, Arizona; two brothers, Ronnie Chambliss and wife Evelyn of Aztec, New Mexico and David Chambliss and wife Barbara of Lockhart, Texas. She had twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several great grandchildren on the way, also many nieces, nephews and other relatives who all loved her dearly.

Visitation is at 11:00 am at Seaside Funeral Chapel in Corpus Christi on Sunday, July 7, 2013, followed by a Funeral Service at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 983 Holly, New Braunfels, Texas 78130.
