George B. Silveus, a well known merchant of Waynesburg, died at his home, on West Lincoln street, Tuesday evening, November 22, 1910, aged 37 years. His death was due to a complication of diseases, after an illness of eighteen months. Mr. Silveus was a son of D. M. Silveus, deeased, and had been engaged in the restaurant business here for the past fifteen years. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and also of the I.O.O.F. and B.P.O.E. fraternal organizations. He was a former president of the Tri-State Fox Hunters' association which held its annual meet at Carmichaels last week. In 1896, Mr. Silveus was united in marriage with Miss Anna R. Lippincott, who with two sons, Charles and Victor H., survive. His mother, Mrs. J. S. Hoy, of Whiteley township, three brothers, Justus, of Urbana, O.; Charles, Wayneburg, and William A. Silveus, of San Antonio, Texas, and one sister, Miss Effie Silveus, of Waynesburg, also survive. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon, conducted by Dr. J. C. Mead. Interment in Oakmont Cemetery.
